The Bärenpfad – a fascinating walking path for all the family – connects Grafenau and Neuschönau in the Bavarian Forest National Park region.

The trail gives walkers
the opportunity to discover the world from the point of view of two young bear brothers, accompanying them from birth to the separation from their mother.

Bear tracks, a very special picnic, bear-inspired wellness and much more besides is waiting to be discovered along the way.

The story of the young bears
is punctuated with interesting information points offering plenty of fascinating facts about bears. Some of the playful elements along the trail even allow visitors to experience first-hand what it’s like to live like a bear.

Teasing trivia about these lovable animals can also be tackled at the quiz stations on route. The Bärenpfad trail has something for all the family.
