Sankt Oswald and Riedlhütte cross-country ski centre

As a place of holidaymaking and recreation, Sankt Oswald-Riedlhütte also boasts a fantastic network of cross-country ski trails – making it a paradise for winter sports fans. No less than 50 kilometres of trails lead through the magical winter landscapes of the Bavarian Forest. The famous Bayerwaldloipe trail, which runs for 150 kilometres from Arber through the National Park to Dreisessel, connecting a large swathe of the Bavarian Forest, passes through the villages of Riedlhütte, Reichenberg, Höhenbrunn, Sankt Oswald and Haslach.

There is the ideal trail for skiers of every level here. Whether you prefer the classical or skating style, easy or difficult tours, every skier will find the perfect track for them. The Aussichtsloipe trail is a great destination on clear days when views can extend all the way to the Salzburger Alps and offer up romantic sunsets. The well-known Guglöd Nationalparkloipe trail is blessed with a lot of snow and can therefore be skied well into March every year.
