Sušice sports centre
The sports centre offers a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a winter stadium, a climbing wall, refreshments, and even massages. Apart from the four-lane swimming pool, there is also a recreational swimming pool with massage nozzles and wild water, two whirlpools, a children’s pool and a closed water slide with led effects. The swimming pool is equipped with the unique counter-flow creating equipment used to simulate wild water. You can warm up in the sauna world, either in a Finnish sauna or in a steam room.
Close to the building lies a football areal with two playing fields and an athletic oval, volleyball and tennis courts, an outdoor swimming areal, a skatepark, a children’s playground, a rope park, and the Luh forest park by the river Otava, which is a paradise to runners and roller skaters.
The outdoor swimming complex, which is open on warm summer days, offers two swimming pools (one is divided into a swimming and a recreational part and the other is a shallow children’s pool), a slide, and other water activities. There is also a beach volleyball court and refreshments.
The Sušice skatepark, expanded by more than 600 m2 in 2016, bringing its current area to more than 1100 m2 belongs among the largest in the country. It can be used by skateboarders, scooter riders, roller skaters, and BMX bikes riders. It was built by Mystic constructions, LLC and local skaters are responsible for most of the design.
