Bayerisch Häusl cross-country skiing centre
Bayerisch Eisenstein municipality maintains a wide-ranging network of beautifully groomed cross-country ski trails in winter. In addition to high-level trails (some of which are passable until Easter), Eisenstein also offers skiers boundless options for exploring the valley on two skis.
The border town’s cross-country ski centre is located in the district of Bayerisch Häusl. It boasts intermediate loop trails of various lengths, a night-time trail with floodlights as well as an adjoining section of the Bayerwald-Loipe, which passes through the entire Bavarian Forest from Loberg to Neureichenau.
The Hohenzollernloipe trail is an outstanding route which serves up sumptuous views over the town of Bayerisch Eisenstein and the imposing mountain of Großer Arber beyond.
