Arber Hohenzollern Biathlon Stadium
The Arber Hohenzollern ski stadium is located directly next to Großer Arbersee lake at 950 metres above sea level. It is named after the Princes of Hohenzollern, who also own the site.
This is not only a great place for professional biathletes or cross-country skiers to ply their trade; the ski stadium also gives amateurs and tourists the opportunity to practice biathlon and cross-country skiing under professional instruction. Every Wednesday throughout the year, a biathlon taster course is offered in the stadium and people of all ages are welcome to take part.
Hohenzollern ski stadium is also a state performance centre for Nordic skiing with the task of spotting talent, training young skiers, providing training sessions and holding official SVBW, BSV and DSV ski competitions. As a result, the stadium is also a top venue for international sports competitions, such as the IBU Cups, OPA-FIS Continental Cups and various other championships.
